MR15B CHAIN FILTER

General description

MR15B CHAIN FILTER, especially for filtered water in deep channels and variable level flow rates. It retains waste from 150 microns up to 6 mm. Monobloc type construction, which means it can leave the factory fully assembled and tested, and this makes installation on site much easier.

Descriptions and characteristics:

Modular filtering panels. Modular unit mounted on conveyor chains. Each panel is a tray type design, which means the waste adhering to the mesh can be removed. The panels are made up of steel frames to which the filtering mesh is fastened. The useful width of the mesh depends on the filtering requirements, and it is easy to replace if it deteriorates.

Main wheels. The set of filtering panels is driven by the conveyor chains that engage with the main wheels. Made from steel plating and with radial reinforcement ribs.

 Drive unit. Consist of a motor reducer unit that directly-gear the main axle, mounted on steel guides for tightening and loosening the conveyor chain. According to the filtering requirements, this drive unit can have two speeds; one for normal operation and another faster speed for those exceptional cases when the filtering mesh clogs.

 Pulling chains. These conveyor chains have a roller system that engages with the main wheels. Throughout the filtering they are guided with steel sections, and it is possible to tighten them at the top. They are made from galvanised steel mesh, with stainless steel axles and sockets and rollers made from anti-wear material.

 Axle. Steel tube that rigidly joints the two main wheels. One of its ends is rigidly joined to the motor reducer, and the other end is supported by a self-aligning ball bearing. The whole unit is fitted with a specially designed shock absorption system to prevent the vibrations and tension that can occur during normal operation.

 Filtering mesh cleaning system. The mesh is cleaned with pressurised water (3 to 4 Kg/cm2), with flat fan type aspersion. The washing water comes out of a series of aspersion holes arranged along a piping located inside the filter. The water hits the mesh from the inside towards the outside, and this causes the waste to break off the mesh so that it can be projected into the hopper.

Waste collection hopper. Made completely from steel plating and specially designed for its operation. The waste and cleaning water leave from one end of the hopper. For sporadic inside inspections, the hopper is provided with inspections holes that enable occasional unclogging. To facilitate waste removal, a pressurised water inlet has been provided, which can be regulated by a manual valve.

 Closing system. The ends of the filtering panels are fitted with a steel plate that is appropriately designed to avoid solids going between the panels and the guides, according to the filtering requirements. Also, the panels are overlapped to prevent solids passing between them.

 Guides. Made from steel sections, and they ensure the filter works correctly. Inside the guides are the chain rollers that correctly guide the set of filtering panels.

Control equipment (optional). Automatic operating system based on variable flow rate head loss and time delay control to prevent possible jamming due to the lack of regular use. All the elements required for manual and automatic operation are installed in the control panel.
