Walkway. Radial walkway supported at one end (to the central pivot) and rigidly joined at the other end to the driving carriage. Made from draw type steel plating and tubular sections which also acts as a handrail. Metallic galvanised passage framework.
Driving carriage. Located at one end of the walkway, and consists of a motor reducer and two wheels; one driving wheel and one driven wheel. Red-band type wheels, supported by ball bearings.
Central pivot. Articulated unit with one end resting on the walkway. Rotation via large diameter bearing, designed to support stresses that may cause small irregularities in the enclosure. Includes bearing ring collector for supplying electricity to the motor.
Central deflecting hood. Welded steel plating. Intended to calm the water, distributing it evenly throughout the enclosure.
Bottom scraper. Rubber scrapers attached to a saw-tooth shaped plate. They are attached to the suction pipes.
Suction tubes. Also act as a support for the bottom scrapers. These tubes draw in the sludge from the bottom of the enclosure and take it inside the drainage channel.
Sludge chute. Made from steel plating, and is intended to collect the sludge that is drawn in and send it, via a siphon, to the central drainage channel. Hangs by supports from the walkway. Includes sludge inlet regulation slides.
Siphon. Element used to transfer sludge from the drainage channel to the concrete circular chute rigidly joined to the central pillar.
Vacuum pump. Forms vacuum in the siphon, which makes it possible to transfer the sludge. It is fitted to one side of the walkway and is connected to the top part of the siphon.
Scum scraper system. Consist of the surface scavenging scraper which, thanks to its design, moves the floating matter towards the periphery, where a pivotable arm introduces the floating matter into the hopper.
Scum collection hopper. Installed in the periphery of the enclosure and anchored directly to the public works. Available in two versions; the outside type (standardised) and the submerged type. Made from steel plating.
